LA.IDEA Inspires: Bethesda Chevy Chase High School
As part of giving back to the community, LA.IDEA collaborated with Bethesda Chevy Chase High School on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Pam Marquez, a sociologist specializing in international immigration, spoke to a group of students about how she was once an ESOL (English as a Second Language) student like them.
After graduating from High school she went on to community college, and completed her masters at the University of Maryland. She currently works at the United Nations doing what she is most passionate about; traveling and helping people.
Special thanks to Pam Marquez for participating in LA.IDEA’s Inspire program and to Chevy Chase High School for the opportunity to provide this service. If you are interested in inspiring our local youth, reach out to us at contact@laideadc.com for more information.
